Meeting the stringent standards of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, Willett House places great emphasis on providing an extremely high standard of clinical care, combined with a joined-up service for all its clients. Dedicated to the health and wellbeing of the animals in its care, Willett House carefully selects its team of highly-qualified, in-house veterinary surgeons - with a special interest in a variety of medical and surgical areas - to perform a wide range of surgical procedures. In addition, the practice prides itself on providing an in-house, 24-hour, year-round emergency service, in order that clients may rest assured that their animals will receive personal care from members of the trusted Willett House team.
Our lead medical and surgical centre at Staines offers consultations, by appointment, as well as a full range of services - including soft tissue, orthopaedic and spinal surgery. The impressive Willett House facilities allow for the management of complex medical and surgical cases and encompass a broad range of medical, diagnostic and surgical equipment, including: keyhole neutering procedures (with the great benefit of reduced trauma to the animal, as well as enhanced recovery times and decreased discomfort); ultrasound for abdominal imaging; echocardiography, including Doppler measurements (allowing the in-house investigation of complex heart conditions); digital radiography; rigid and flexible video endoscopes (allowing a multitude of diagnostic imaging, including rhinoscopy and cystoscopy); and bronchoscopy (allowing for the further investigation of respiratory cases). Willett House also has access to advanced MRI scanning equipment, allowing detailed imaging of the brain and spinal chord in order to aid the investigation of epilepsy and other central nervous system (CNS) disorders.
The post-operative and medical care offered by Willett House is designed to best cater for the optimum health and wellbeing of the animals in our care. By employing specialist veterinary night nurses, Willett House is pleased to be able to provide a greater level of in-house care for more complex hospitalised cases and to be able able to cater the level of care required to the needs of each individual animal.
The valued Willett House team includes a dozen highly skilled veterinary surgeons, including the holder of a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. Each of our veterinary surgeons engages in regular continuing professional development (CPD), in line with RCVS requirements, in order to ensure the maintenance of the highest professional standards. Each veterinary surgeon on the Willett House team is also encouraged to develop a single area of special interest.
Willett House also provides complementary medical care in the form of acupuncture - particularly useful in the treatment of arthritis - which is offered both by members of the in- house team and also by a visiting veterinary acupuncture specialist.
Every Willett House client is also encouraged to enjoy the benefits of our Healthy Pet Club preventative healthcare package. Our highly skilled veterinary nursing team offers regular nurse clinics which aim to provide invaluable advice on regular vaccination, diet, exercise and worm and flea treatments. Healthy Pet Club members can also enjoy discounted treatments, health checks and nail clips, as well as reduced consultation and neutering rates. Our veterinary nursing team also offers invaluable puppy socialisation classes - which are extremely beneficial to canine behaviour and wellbeing. The Willett House veterinary nursing team includes an animal behaviour diploma holder and one-to-one consultations are available to clients.
The four Willett House branch surgeries - based at Addlestone, Feltham, Hampton and Stanwell - all offer consultations, by appointment, 24-hour emergency care and (excluding the Stanwell branch, which refers to Staines) a range of on-site medical and surgical procedures.
